Obituary of Michael Norris Sutherland

Michael Sutherland affectionately called Mike passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024 at the age of 55 with his love ones by his side.

Mike was soft spoken, humble and a quiet soul who always had a smile on his face. He was hardworking and dedicated to his trade as a Sprinkler Fitter. He also loved football and travelling to his native country Jamaica as often as he could. His dream was to enjoy his retirement there.

Michael leaves behind his life long partner Sharon, his two sons Markel & Anthony, grandson Mikkah, granddaughter Mia & Milaya, his father Morris, his birth mother Audrey, mother Yvonne, his stepdaughters Marissa & Aleesha, his brothers Richard & Kevin, his sisters Eboni, Tiffani, Denise (Tiana), Carlene, Dionne, Lisa and Michelle. Michael will be sadly missed by all his other relatives and a host of friends.

His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched with his kindness, warmth and his humble spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love and valuable friendships.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Trillium Hospital Neuro ICU (3J) for the excellent care provided to Michael. Special thanks to the Chaplain.

The Family appreciate all the phone calls, visits, text messages, gifts, words of encouragement during this difficult time.

May his soul rest in peace.
