Obituary of Pastor Alvin Duhaney Edwards

Pastor Alvin Edwards, age 78, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at his residence in the city of Brampton. He was born on March 13th, 1942 to Dudley and Pearl Edwards.

Alvin was a Reverend, Councillor, Elder and businessman. He was a great man of God who truly lived an exemplary life of service to his work and church community. A devoted family man that adored his wife and children. He impacted many lives and was a staple and pillar of truth in his country Jamaica.

He was a beloved husband to Windell Edwards for 49 years.  He leaves to cherish his memories 3 daughters Sharon, Fedricka, D’Anne, 2 sons, Everton, Damean, sons-in- law Dave, Owan, David, daughters-in-law Cornette, Medena, 15 grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

His work in the community and with the churches will always be remembered. Pastor Edwards will be sadly missed by his entire family and all those who knew him.

TO ATTEND THE VISITATION: 

Upon arrival there will be covid screening questions and contact tracing performed for all guests.

We will be accepting guest(s) in groups of 20ppl max per time period(s).

PANDEMIC CAPACITY UPDATE: 

INDOOR CEREMONIES: 50 person maximum capacity permitted in the entire funeral home

CHAPEL CAPACITY: 50 person maximum

OUTDOOR CEREMONIES: 50 person maximum at the cemetery.

Please note: children and babies also account for numbers.

Staff will continuously be monitoring capacity numbers. Once we have reached capacity, guests will be asked to remain outside, as there is NO gathering in the funeral centre at anytime.

MANDATORY:  Face masks must be worn inside of the funeral centre at all times.
