I worked with Bancroft at Peel Police. He was hired in the class before me. We had some good laughs (away from the public). He was a super person and will be missed. I was blessed to have had him in my life. My condolences to you.

I was shocked to learn if the sudden passing of Constable Bancroft. I had the pleasure of working with him when he was our liaison officer at St. Joseph Secondary School. A gentle, compassionate, sensitive giant who served our school community in so many ways. When he talked about his family especially his four daughters he lit up with pride and joy. My memories of him are a true blessing. May he rest in eternal peace. My heartfelt condolences to his loving family. Carm D’Elia Retired Vice-Principal

It is with great sadness that I Iearned of Cst. Wright’s passing. Bancroft served as Neighbourhood Policing Unit Officer at St. Joseph C.S.S. for several years. Bancroft went well beyond duty to support a safe and caring environment for our students. Whether cheering on our teams in the gym, or casually chatting with kids in the halls, he demonstrated a genuine concern for staff and students alike. He was always a welcomed, towering presence in our school, and became a friend. His passing is a great loss for his family, friends and the Peel community. May God hold him in the palm of His hand. My sincere condolences to the Wright Family, My heart has been heavy since hearing the news Bancroft (aka Bunny) is not with us. I have many fond memories of Bunny during our years at Humber College and friendship we shared within an incredibly, unique and inclusive group of friends. We did so much together that we were like a second family sharing in so many adventures. I will miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayer are with you always, Vanness McCormack

I had worked with Bancroft to address problems at 3 Peel Living sites and we worked great together . I had a major fire at one site and had to call Bancroft to reschedule a meeting. He asked how it was going, I replied ‘residents are justifiably upset - so far so good, just hope not to get bopped in the nose! Within an hour a police car pulled up, Bancroft stepped out, came up and said - just stopped to say ‘hi’ to my friend Sheri. We chatted for a couple minutes and then he left. I was there for 3weeks - no problems. Such a great person and that voice!! My condolences to his family.

My sincerest condolences to the entire Wright family. Big B as i affectionately called him, was one of my colleagues/friends both in the Media Unit and previously at 11 Division. He was larger than life and an absolute joy to be around. I treasure all the chats we had during shift changes about current events and sports.
