Obituary of Cyril Clarke

It is with great sadness that the family of Cyril Clarke, known to friends and family as Uncle Sunny, announces his passing after an illness on Saturday, November 28,2020 at the age of 87 years.  A native of Treadways, St. Catherine, a small district in Jamaica, Cyril developed his love for farming and planted numerous crops and raised various animals.  These life skills helped him to take care of his family and anyone in need in his community.  Cyril loved spending time with his family, dancing and having an occasional drink at gatherings but nothing compared to his food!  He enjoyed his Jamaican delicacies.

Cyril is survived by his wife of 43 years, Eslin Clarke and his 8 children. Cyril will also be fondly remembered by his 29 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, his 3 sisters, 2 brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Cyril was predeceased by his parents, Osman and Etlyn Clarke and his brother Clayman Clarke.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in memory of Cyril in his birth country, Jamaica, on Saturday, January 16, 2020 hosted by Audrey E Williams Funeral Services. Interment will follow at Treadways Cemetery in his hometown.

PANDEMIC INSTRUCTIONS:

Please be advised there is a 10 ppl maximum capacity permitted in the funeral home (includes children and babies). Staff will be continuously monitoring capacity numbers. Once we have reached capacity, guests will be asked to remain outside as there is NO gathering in the funeral centre at any time.

MANDATORY:  Face masks must be worn inside of the funeral centre at all times.
