When growing up in Scarborough Aunt Myrtle was my second Grandma. I only had 3 phone numbers to memorize and one was hers (2544). I could not visit aunt Gloria's with asking if we could stop to visit or call Aunt Mrytle to ask if she would be stopping by. Iam not sure if that was because she always had food for me, if she wasn't cooking there would be something she could warm up from the freezer lol. She was so full of life and always had something funny to say, the best person to people watch with while sitting on the porch. I remember she loved her birds, her plants and garden and most of all her family. She will be greatly missed.

I met Myrtle in 1998 when I started attending Highway Gosple Church.I immediately bonded with her as she reminded me of a great aunt l had grown up with in Jamaica. It became my duty to wait for her every Sunday morning for us to attend church.I last saw her in 2015.She moved to the west end where she was being cared for by her daughter Odette.Myrtle you have now crossed over on the other side to be with your master A job well done Rest in peace my sister. You will always be in my heart.
