HEAR MY CRY, OH LORD
Hey! Come on people of God.
Here we go!
Hear my cry, Oh Lord,
Attend unto my prayer.
From the end of the earth,
Will I cry out to Thee.
When my heart is overwhelmed,
Lead me to the Rock,
That is higher than I.
That is higher than I.
For Thou hast been,
A shelter for me.
And a strong tower,
From the enemy.
When my heart is overwhelmed,
Lead me to the Rock,
That is higher than I.
That is higher than I.
For Thou hast been,
A shelter for me.
And a strong tower,
From the enemy.
When my heart is overwhelmed,
Lead me to the Rock,
That is higher than I.
That is higher than I.
Do you need to talk to the Lord!
Hear my cry, O Lord,
Attend unto my prayer.
From the end of the earth,
Will I cry out to Thee.
When my heart is overwhelmed,
Lead me to the Rock,
That is higher than I.
That is higher than I.
For Thou hast been,
A shelter for me.
And a strong tower,
From the enemy.
When my heart is overwhelmed,

Dear Grandma,
You were not just a grandmother to me. You were a friend, a mother, and a mentor in my life. As a child I grew up with so much memories with you. You are the best and will remain the best person in my life. No one knows what tomorrow holds, but one day we shall meet again. Love you and R.i.p

When the good lord made you, he thought of “Mother”, and smiled with satisfaction. You were not just a mother to the children you birthed, and their children, and their children’s children. You were a mother to countless others. I called you mom, because you first called me son, and treated me like I was your son. You were the most kindest , loving, gentle woman I’ve ever met. You treated me with unconditional love and respect. You had enough love in your heart to share to all and sundry. Ah! You were one in a million! Who can forget all the stories you regaled us with? From your early childhood in Berbice, then to Georgetown and back again to Berbice. You remembered all the fine details. Your wit was unmatched, and your memory was as sharp as suits that Trevor wears. You were such a bright light in this dark world. The abundance of love you had to share, your goodness, your humanity, your selflessness, your wisdom, the joy you gave—will be your lasting legacy—a legacy that can never die. Always in our hearts forever. R.I.P. Mom!

My bestfriend is gone. You were my Mother and also my bestfriend. I enjoyed the last 8 months living with you.
We sang together. We laughed together. We slept in the same room the last 3 months of your life.
I'm going to miss you my dear mother.
No one can be a better mother than you.
I love you mom. Now and forever.

Rest in Paradise Granny, Memories don’t die they last FOREVER and I would love to start off by saying Thank YOU. Granny has been on this earth for 94 years she has been here for us through all the times of need. Granny was Legend she would always have positive things to say and would always share beautiful stories about her childhood and would tell us the funniest jokes of all time. Granny’s door was always open and she was happy to see anybody that would come visit. Not only was her door open she would always have something to eat, if you ever came to the house there’s no way you’re leaving without getting food. And her favourite line would be “Y’all want Drink” doesn’t matter what it could water, juice, tea, milk, Soda you name it ! Her Cook Up Rice was probably the best cook up I’ve ever had in my life had the most amazing taste I’m sure we all fell in love with Granny’s cooking I miss her so much ! The memory I have with my mother was when I was 7 years old she sent me over to my cousin Bonnie and Ivors house to help clean it. When I got there Bunny asked me to cook her some curry chicken. I didn't tell her I didn't know how to cook so I put the chicken in the pot with the water, the potato, the curry salt and boil everything up. I also had to cook rice. When it was time to eat, I took the rice out of the water, shake it out and put it on her plate. Bunny ate the food and said it taste so good. I went home and I told my mother what she did. My mother told me the next time she asks you to cook this is the way how to cook it. She showed me how to cook curry chicken and rice. It became a routine for me to go over to Bunny and Ivors house and cook. I am now famous for cooking Curry chicken. My mother was a stay-at-home mom. She use to sew dresses, boys and girls pajamas, baby shimmies and panties. She would send me and Carol to sell these items to neighbors and other people. She loved when me and Carol would come back from selling. We would bring back a lot of money for her. What she didn't know was that Carol and I used to raise the prices and just give her what her asking price was. Later on I ended up telling her what we did. She smiled with love and said "you're nothing but a brute". My mother was a soft well spoken kind hearted loving person. She never spoke ill of anyone. I always remember people coming to our home hungry or needing something. Mom would say " don't chase them". She always bought those big bags of oranges. A hundred pieces in it and she would get brown paper bags fill it up and give them whatever she could. She would also send me and Carol to distribute bags of oranges to the neighbors. What a kind woman she was. Her door was open to everyone who needed a place to stay and food always offered no matter how little we had. She was a phenomenal woman. My mother took me to the hospital when I got my first child Nickey. She didn't stay with me because I was hollering. When I came out the hospital, she had everything waiting for me.
She was so kind. When it was time for 9 of us to go to America and Canada, somehow my mother found the money. She paid for 9 visas and 9 plane fares. 1978 some went to Canada and some to America.
My first time visiting Canada was so exciting. I was going to see my mom, dad and siblings that I hadn't seen in a long time. Oh what a joy. My mother hugged and kissed me. Kiss her grandchildren. My dad did the same. We spent weeks with them. When it was time to go back to the US, we were so sad. But yearly it became a thing where we all would go to Canada. My mother was so excited. We would get in late from traveling all night, but she would come to your bed and wake you up. "Are you sleeping". "No Mom". I would be tired. In my head im saying "Oh gosh two stories going to start now and I'm tired I want to sleep". But she doesn't move. You have to sit there and listen to all the Farmland story. When she was a little girl. When she got married at 18 and all sort of different stories. You got to listen sometimes to the same story over and over. I wpuld finish the sentence for her to make her shut up. But no, she would continue. The next day I'm going to hear it again and the next day I'm going to hear the same story again. Now she's gone no more stories. No more songs. Rest in peace mom. The last time I was there she wrote a song. Well she didn't write the song. She sang the song. Its titled "I fight to the fight". That was her last song. What more can I say??. She looked at me one time and she said "Cherry you remember when you told me I take all of your father money?". I said "yes, do you remember slapping me on my mouth and telling me I talk too much"? I'm going to miss her when I go to Canada, but I have my boys. They make me happy. When I get there Ive got my sister Audrey. She has been doing a phenomenal job all these years taking care of our mother. My brother Patrick who's there all the time for years helped take care of her too. My brother Trevor was there at the end helping Audrey. I thank you guys for helping our sister who played the biggest part. We had the best mother. She was better than the best. love you Mom.
Rest in peace.

Mrs. Bunbury, I haven’t spent as much time with you as others may have, but the little we’ve spent together has truly been a blessing. God placed you in my life at a time when I struggled with doubt/insecurities in my voice and my faith. I found it so amazing and motivating that someone actually wanted to hear me sing. And that encouraged me so much. Not only that, but you held on to your faith even in pain. Thank you for giving me hope. Thank you for touching my heart and inspiring me. The fruits of your womb are truly blessed. I’m grateful to have met Aunty Audrey and the boys. After encountering their warm hospitality, I knew they must have gotten it from somewhere. I didn’t get a chance to meet your husband, but I can say that your seeds (children) have definitely blossomed into beautiful flowers of light and love. I thank you sharing love and just this peace that naturally flows from you. Thank you so much.
I miss you
Rest in Heaven.

They say life is not about the number of breaths you take, but about the moments that take your breath away. It's not about the amount of money you have but the quality of love that surrounds you.
Mommy aka Grandmother, you were the epitome of a rich woman who was full of life. You were wealthy because you possessed many childhood to adulthood stories that you shared with your children and grandchildren who loved you very much.
Hey Mommy, Do you remember when the "Americans" (grandchildren) would come to Canada, during the summers, and you'd greet us with a warm smile and excitement? That always made us feel so good, happy and welcomed.
Do you remember when I'd sleep next to you and Daddy, and you'd wake me up at 5AM in the mornings, to tell me about your childhood days? I never said anything (because I was always wondering 'Who gets up this early to tell stories') but hearing those stories helped me to understand your struggles and how you overcame them. I always thought Daddy was the stronger of the two of you, but seeing the way you fought to stay alive, these past few months, I realize, you were just as strong maybe even stronger.
I admired the way you took care of Daddy. I don't know how you felt, internally about it, but what I saw was an incredible woman who knew how to take care of her home and appreciate everything she had. Your kindness and consistent generosity to others were always front and center.
A lot of people, shared their condolences and say that you are in a better place. Yes, Heaven is most definitely a better place however here on earth, with your loved ones, it was a great place. You gave love and you received love. You danced and you sang. You laughed and you smiled. You had what most people could only dream about having and that is a big family. A family filled with years of friendships, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and so much more. You lived a fruitful life and we can only be so lucky to have a sip of your juice.
Now the time has come for us to say so long and farewell. It's hard but your love for God and everything you have instilled in us will guide us through.
WE LOVE YOU MOMMY. KISS DADDY FOR US. GIVE MR. RAYMOND AND UNCLE NEVILLE A HUG. SAY HELLO TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT YOU'LL SEE. TELL THEM ABOUT YOUR LIFE AND YOUR DRAMA YET FUN FAMILY. AND MOMMY, IF YOU HAVE A MOMENT, I want you to remember the talk you had with me. You said you were proud of me because of all I had accomplished. Well, I'd like to tell you my accomplishments came from what you showed me. THANK YOU.
Love you always... Nickey

-wow it’s so hard to say goodbye granny & I cried writing this but I know you will be watching over us. You were always nice to me. Anytime I went to Canada I was expecting to see you and give you a hug & kiss but this time it’s gonna be different. Anytime you saw me you wanted me to stay with you, you didn’t want me to leave. I remember in Canada when I had to go downstairs & feed you, you would always tell me about your life & about how much you miss your husband aka my grandpa I always loved staying with you, you will always be in my heart. But I will always remember when I was leaving Canada in January. I went back in the house before we can leave & I said “I love you granny“ & you said “I love you to Winter“ and we both gave each other a hug and a kiss that was the last thing you said to me “I love you too Winter” & you held my hand.
Love your granddaughter Winter

Grandmothers create memories your soul holds on to forever.
Granny my love... you’ve left an everlasting imprint on my heart. Your loving and caring personality was infectious to anyone that was blessed to have known you. Elegance, radiance, poise, grace are all attributes you embodied and I inspired to inherit, more importantly the abundance of love you shared!! You were able to give all your grands equal love, even though I know I was your favorite you showed us all a love that was so genuine and true.
So many loving memories I have with you. Every summer Canada was my home, you would tell me stories about when you were growing up, your mom, when you first met grandpa, stories of my mom and her siblings all while I was either greasing your scalp or picking your many...gray hairs, that was our special time.
You had a humorous personality I’m not sure you were aware of, you’ve brought so much joy and laughter to my life. Thank you for instantly loving my daughter and husband like only you can.
I’m glad that I was able to have seen you in January, like before we had our own special time. I was able to kiss you and rub your face for the last time and tell you that I loved you.
I accepted that your were getting up in age and as life is... you would have to leave us but the actual sting of it is hurting... I selfishly wanted you to live forever.
You are no longer with us in the physical but your love, laughter, smile, and stories will forever live in our hearts!
I’m sad and disappointed that we can’t give you the farewell you so deserve, the Bunbury way...but know you are loved deeply and will forever live in my heart ❤️
Love you Granny

I used to brag to all my friends about you when I was younger saying “my great grandmother is still alive and she’s doing great”. I always loved watching you dancing on Facebook and at our family get togethers. I’m so grateful I got the chance to see you in January! I just want to say thank you and great grandpa for creating this huge and wonderful family.
Love your great granddaughter Autumn :)

Hey granny...I really don’t have any more words to share and it’s funny because you taught me better than that. You had the kindest and purest soul that’s I’ve ever come across at 20 years old. Thank you for always being my listening ear and teaching me how to be kind even to those who don’t deserve it. You’ll live on forever and can never be replaced. I love you and fly high with the angels <3 - Natajah xx

Every time my mom would see me, she would say the same thing over and over, Joyce you are different from the rest while they took everything from the boxes you would just stand up and don’t take anything. I would say that’s my personality. Mom I love you and I miss you thank you for all the years we shared in Jesus name Amen.

My great grandmother was a beautiful lady. I remembered all the times we shared good conversations and smiles. I will always remember when she cooked me some soups and guinness everyday while trying to recover from the birth of my first child when he was born that week. She was a good care taker. And she said to me " make sure to take care of my boy, give him plenty of water ". I do miss her. I will always remember her smile. Nice great grandmother she was to me. From my family to you great grandma, we love you. ❤️

To my Grandmother. I still think this is surreal that you're gone because you've always been a strong woman and a fighter for everything. I'm heartbroken but I tell myself, to find comfort is seeing our beautiful grandmother being welcomed in heaven and reuniting with Grandpa. You're at peace now with God and his angels so i'm okay with that. To live 94 years, you lived a long life which is truly a blessing. The life lessons you passed on has helped me become the person I've become. You've always had a kind & gentle soul to everyone. Thank you for the great memories, laughs & stories we've shared. Thank you for taking care of me after school during my elementary days and making my favourite soup with Edos :) and Thank you for just being the GREATEST Grandmother any Grandchild can have. WE LOVE YOU & WE'LL NEVER FORGET YOU!! What you left on earth your legacy will never be forgotten.
Till we meet again Grandma
LOVE YOU FOREVER!!

A woman of extreme strength, courage and love. Who was beautiful, soft and now peaceful and free as a dove. Someone who our admiration was built around, for her womanhood, wife, mother, grand/great-grandmother and friend since she was brought into this world. As you enter your new heavenly home,
may you rest in peace for which you truly deserve,
For you will be truly missed and remembered for your love and honor in which we will preserve.
We love you always and forever grandma. Sleep in Paradise.

My Sweet Beautiful Granny,
Words cant describe the pain I feel right now. My heart is ,heavy and I will forever miss that beautiful soft spoken voice and contagious laugh !! I have so many fond memories with you ! From you calling me “Pastah” ,sharing your stories , singing your songs, feeding us food and your adult jokes that would have us crying in tears . My favourite memory of all is of you praying with me to except Jesus in your heart even though you did before you didn’t hesitate to rededicate your life to him ! I am at total peace knowing that you are in a better place -with Jesus in heaven with the same (even bigger) smile on your face ! Love you so much ! Your baby/ granddaughter . Chanielle

My dear departed mommy. Where do I start? There’s just too much to say and hardly knowing a starting point. I am happy to have more than fifty years of fond memories of you. As a kid, the so many times we went to the market and you stopping every 100 feet to talk to a neighbor and I carrying some heavy load from the market, to the inmemorable times spent in the bush farming and drinking creek water.
Like I said, there are too many memories. As a teenager, you told me that I have the knack as a salesman and that I should always sell. You were the best grandmother anyone would want to have. Your infectious laugh and ability to recite stories are what most would remember you for. Some would also remember your inimitable style to put a few lines together and make a song.
I knew that your health was fading, however, the inevitable was still somewhat of a shock because everyone wants someone dear to them to live forever. In the end, you are just like all human beings and death is ever so present. Rest In Power and continue smiling in heaven. We all miss you dearly!
Your grandson,
Dexter Bunbury
