Obituary of Jahmara Omarjah Grant

Jahmara "Jam Jam" Omarjah Grant transitioned peacefully in Toronto, Ontario on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at the young age of 32. Jahmara is survived by his Mother Kathleen Grant, Father Alexander James, Brothers Jibri James and Delroy Henry, Sisters Latanya James, Tashesha James, Tamasha Grant and Shamara Grant.

Jahmara was a loving and inspirational Uncle to nieces, Zolah and Dionna, and nephews, Nikhai, Deyshon, Aries and Qing. He impacted the lives of not only his immediate but extended family and caregiver Lilieth Mitchell.

Jahmara was born on June 10, 1985 and diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy. But despite what one might consider a disability, he had the will and the strength to overcome his condition. Even as a person with special needs, he lived his life in service of others in need.

His genuine smile would light up any room he entered. He was strong yet gentle and had an excitement for life. Loved going out to enjoy what the world had to offer. Jahmara was a rock for many, a comedian for some and a blessing to all. He will be eternally missed.
