In the past, those who were resurrected were reunited with their family and friends here on earth. This will also happen in the future, but it will be much better. Why? Because those who are brought back to life on earth will have the opportunity to live forever and never die again. And they will live in a world very different from the one we live in today. There will be no war, no crime, and no sickness.
Who will be resurrected? Jesus said that “all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” (John 5:28, 29) And Revelation 20:13 tells us: “The sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the Grave gave up the dead in them.” Yes, billions of people will live again. The apostle Paul also said that both “the righteous and the unrighteous” will be resurrected. (Read Acts 24:15.) What does that mean?

When a family member or a close friend dies, our pain and grief can be unbearable. We feel helpless. There’s nothing we can do to bring that person back to life. But the Bible gives us real comfort. (Read 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4.) Let us consider one example that shows how much Jehovah and Jesus want to bring our loved ones back to life. When Jesus was on earth, he often visited Lazarus and his sisters, Martha and Mary. All three were good friends of Jesus. The Bible says: “Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.” Then one day Lazarus died.—John 11:3-5.
Martha thought that Jesus was too late. After that, Jesus saw her sister, Mary, crying. Seeing their sadness, he felt hurt and cried. (John 11:21, 33, 35) He felt the deep pain that comes when we lose someone we love.
Knowing that Jesus feels the way we do about death is a comfort to us. And Jesus is just like his Father. (John 14:9) Jehovah has the power to remove death forever, and that is what he will do very soon.

Good bye my friend Latoya. Words cannot express how I feel. I only have my memories to comfort me. I remember as kids we use to sing Whitney, and you kept encouraging me to sing )you were too kind to tell me I could not carry a note) “I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way, show them all the beauty they possess inside.....learning to love yourself is the greatest love of all”. You never walked in anyone’s shadow, you set your own path and followed it, my were you fierce once you decided the direction you wanted to go in. And you proved me wrong so many times as your way turned out to make better sense. You had such a sense of pride in your achievements, you bought your own car and your own Condo, I was so proud of you. You made being you seem so easy. A more hard working independent woman I could not find. I can understand then why you guarded yourself even until the end because you wanted to be remembered as strong and brave. My dear friend although you lost this battle to cancer, you were no coward, you fought as hard as any human could and you never gave up hope. You were not weak because you lost, nor were you knocked out. Many have fought bravely, you just made it seem so easy as you have done with many difficulties. So even in the end, round 12, as it had you on the ropes, you did not surrender, God himself had to take you to himself, and you still were smiling. Your smile and laughter reminds me how you used to be, how you will always be remembered by those who love you. Rest peacefully in his arms, you are no longer in pain, though the pain that tears at our hearts will never be quenched, the memory of you will give us a bit of release. You will always be the one and only Top Shotta.

I remember the first time I met Latoya. I was so impressed with her beauty and intelligence. She was about nine. She asked me how to spell apartheid. I asked her why. I wasn't sure if it was ie or ei and did not want to make a fool out of mysrlf. We got pretty close during my vacations to Jamaica.
Latoya you touched the heart of so many. We all grieve for you. You will be missed. My heart is broken. My thoughts and prayers for your family and friends.

I am still in shock and tears right now! Latoya was someone that was different, I could've talked, hug and smile with her everytime I seen her, she was such a lovely person.
