It is with deep sadness that we share the news of Kavan "Fudge" Layne's passing. Fudge touched so many lives with his kindness, strength, and unwavering spirit. 

Born on March 23, 1979 in Toronto, Kavan (also affectionately known to everyone as Fudge) had a gift for making everyone around him feel special. With a passion for family and music, at a young age, it was clear to everyone that he was going to be a shining light in this world.

This nack for innovation played a vital part in the pioneering and development of urban music and fashion in Canada.

Above all, he was a confidant to anyone he considered part of his circle and lived by his code of “Fam 4 Life and “Trust, Loyalty & Respect (TLR)”. If you knew him, you knew what laughter, love and excitement looked like.

Kavan joins his eldest son Keondre and is survived by his parents Leroy and Kith, his brother Bruce, his loving wife Cinthia and children Kaden and Kiara.

The Layne and Gonzales family would like to thank all the family and friends for their ongoing support and compassion during this difficult time.

Though he may no longer be with us, his legacy and the memories we shared will forever remain in our hearts. May he rest in peace, and may we find comfort in the love and joy Fudge brought into our lives.
