Obituary of Brenda Elaine Reid

Brenda Elaine Reid, affectionately known as Miss. B, passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 69, in Toronto, Ontario. Born on July 31, 1955, in St Thomas, Jamaica, she brought warmth and light to the lives of those around her with her contagious smile and infectious laugh. 

Miss. B dedicated her professional life to serving others at CAMH and Toronto Rehab, where her compassionate nature made a significant impact. She was an observant, attentive, and knowledgeable individual, always striving to learn more and better herself, which resonated deeply in her work and personal life. 

Her faith was one of the most important aspect of her life. Listening to gospel music and the  word of God offered her much comfort, and solace. 

Brenda was a devoted mother to her children, Alesha, Georgette, and George, who were her greatest inspiration. She also cherished her role as a grandmother to Ginelle, Jasmine, Sidney, Lyniah, Rachel, and Saurya. Her mother, Icy, and siblings, Johnny, Ben, Judith, and Floyd, survive her and will hold her memory dear. 

An avid reader and excellent cook, Brenda found joy and relaxation in these hobbies, often sharing this passion with her family and friends. 

Miss. B will be remembered for her humility, compassion, and the profound influence she had on her family and community. Her legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to inspire those who knew her.
