I stand here with a heavy heart, struggling to find the right words to capture the loss of someone so dear. Miss Jess was more than just a friend to us; they were family in every way that truly mattered. There’s an empty space now, one that was once filled with their laughter, their kindness, their unwavering presence. Miss Jess had a rare gift for making everyone around them feel seen, heard, and loved. Whether it was a comforting word in difficult times or a hearty laugh over life’s little joys, they were the anchor we didn’t always realize we leaned on. The generosity of spirit and warmth touched every life she encountered. To be in her presence was to feel safe, valued, and cared for. I think about all the moments we shared—the late-night talks, the endless cups of coffee, the silent understanding when no words were needed. Those memories are what will carry me through this grief, even though the ache of their absence will never truly leave. In the silence that follows their passing, I find myself holding on to the lessons they left behind: to love deeply, to give generously, and to live fully. That’s how Miss Jess lived, and that’s how we’ll honor her. She is now gone, her spirit will forever be with us, in the stories we tell, in the laughter we share, and in the love that will continue to bind us. They are part of us, always.
