Obituary of Joyce Regina Anderson

Joyce Regina Anderson (née Wallace), age 93, went home on June 24, 2024 to be with her Lord whom she dearly loved and served for many decades. She leaves behind daughters Janet (Ann) McDonald, Dawn Anderson-Dixon, stepdaughter Monica (Pam) Anderson; sons-in-law Dwain (Janet) and Darrin (Dawn); grand-children Melanie, Matthew (Kim), Deon and great grand-daughter Brianna. Joyce is pre-deceased by husband Edric to whom she was married for 40 years until his passing in 1997.

Joyce was deeply loved by her family and friends in Jamaica and Canada and will be remembered for her love for God, her culinary skills, her sweet spirit and loving acceptance of everyone she met. She was a faithful member of Havenhill Baptist Church (Jamaica) and Praise Cathedral Worship Centre (Canada) serving in many different capacities.

Joyce was the sixth of 13 children born to Alfred and Louise Wallace on Feb 5,1931. She is survived by siblings Doris, Lloyd, Madge, Shirley, and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she cherished her relationships with her friends.

Although she will be missed, her kind spirit and sweet loving nature will continue to live on in the memories of those who knew her.
