I always admired Sister Lou, the way she carried herself with dignity and style, I always call her, “ Queen “ as she possessed the charm of a queen. She loved the Lord and it shows in her willingness to share His grace with others as she testified in songs and her faithfulness in being in the house of God. She left an example for her family and those who knew her to trust the hands of God. Queen I will always remember you. To the family may the God of peace surrounds and comfort you at this time. God blessed . Sandra Bingham

I met Sis Louise in 1990 while working at The Venture Inn in Scarborough. At that time, there were a lot of Jamaicans employed at the company. However, Louise and I connected on a different level and would talk every day at work. This grew into conversations after work and then invitations to holiday dinner and gathering at our homes. After a while she invited me to her church, Scarborough Faith (now Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church). She told me that she got baptized and that I should get baptized too, and this I did, and I have been a member since. She loved singing and often sang during Church service and concerts. She would often invite me to special events at her daughter-in-law’s church and would ensure I had a ride to and from the event.
With each passing day we got closer and closer. We would talk on the phone very often. Most mornings she would call and say ‘wha happen gal?!’ to which I would respond ‘mi jus a wake!’. She would then head out to the street to take care of business. Oh how I miss these calls and conversations.
She had a friend that sold clothes in the Cedarbrae Mall. She shopped with her all the time and invited me to do the same until I became a customer. Louise dressed like a queen every single time. She was always well put together.
She was a very loving, caring and kind person. Nothing was too much to share with others. She loved to bake cornmeal and potato pudding and to share her dinner with others.
I last saw her on March the 2nd and even though I was with a group from Church she only responded to me. She laughed and spoke with me very briefly and this warmed my heart. My dearest friend Louise, I will surely miss you. I have lost a true friend. Rally, Pauline, Junior and the rest of the family, please accept my condolences. Your mom was a wonderful woman and will be dearly missed.
This photo was the *16th* birthday party put on for us by our Church family!

Grandma, I remember having sleepovers at your house, and always having the strawberry candies. I miss you so much I can’t believe it
