Obituary of Merline Delores Harris

Delores  passed away in a tragic car accident on Saturday March 30th, 2024 in Listowel, ON at the age of 64. 

Delores was born in  Kingston, Jamaica to Derris Stewart and  the late Madge James. Delores came to Canada in 1975 and began specializing in Customer Relations with companies such as American Express, Royal Trust Company, Bell Canada, and Walmart. 

Delores, a faithful woman of God whose kindness, and unwavering love touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin cherished friend, loving wife, dependable co worker, and a pillar of strength to every person she encountered. 

Her confidence, style, fashion, and beauty, lit up every room she entered. Delores’ welcoming smile, and  unique laughter was infectious. She was a very sociable person and enjoyed various genres and styles of music.

Delores was not just a mother; she was a guiding light, offering wisdom and support through life's ups and downs. Her selflessness knew no bounds, as she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to the well-being and happiness of her children and loved ones.

Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched, leaving behind memories of her love, her laughter, and her unshakeable spirit. Delores  may no longer be with us in person, however her presence will forever be felt in our hearts.

She will forever be loved missed and remembered for all her kind deeds and her dedication to her family, friends and community in Canada and Jamaica. 

Delores will be deeply missed, her love will continue to inspire us always.

 

In lieu of flowers the family would like to have a donation made to ANIDA, a reputable charity, which has always been near to Delores’ heart.
