Remembrance for Samah Barnswell (Uncle Herman)
Uncle Herman exuded an aura that is unmatched to anyone or anything. On this premise, ill share a few fond memories that we embrace about this gem. He was a loving and God-fearing person who always wears a smile despite the situations that surround him. I knew Uncle Herman as a person who always looks out for the wellbeing of others.
During his time in Jamaica, he usually transports passengers from Montego Bay Town Centre to and from Copse - a neighboring community in St. James. And doing this was his greatest pleasure.
Uncle Herman family oriented and everybody's love bug. We always look forward to him coming to Jamaica so we can have our little family get together. He expressed deep love for his children and this love also overflowed on us as nieces and nephews.
One of his favorite habits was to sit talk with Papa (his brother, our dad) about life in old days. They were really inspiring to listen to. When it comes to food he loves eating fish. Amidst all the memories we cherish of Uncle Herman, prayer was the fuel to his fire. Uncle Herman firmly believes in prayers. He would pray for his family before he left Jamaica each time he visited.
Uncle Herman epitomized an awesome human being and has left us a garden of memories to lavish in and hold dear. Sleep on Uncle Herman, you are forever in our hearts.

I knew Mr.B since I was a kid.He was loved by all in the community. I have never heard a bad word said about him.Mass Herman as we called him always used to give us ride to school in his pick up truck to save us from the long walk. He never passed a school kid without stopping to give them a ride.May his soul rest in peace in the arms of the Lord.

To: Mrs B, Errol, Marcia, Veronica, Sandy and Family
I remember Mr. B for his quiet strength, warm laugh, and his lovely cornmeal porridge; I could taste the love he put into it in every spoonful. His was my first and I haven't tasted another one as nice. I will always remember him for his kind and peaceful nature.
Rest peacefully Mr. B
Sending hugs and love from afar...
