It is with human sadness that the Coleman Family offers our sincere condolences to the entire Gordon family with the sudden passing of Minister Ian Gordon.
I only knew him briefly over the past 8 years but everything I observed was a true testament to servant hood and serving very well.

I recall Minister Ian vividly, worshipping together at Triumphant Church of God, 10 Maplewood Ave as a little boy, very friendly always wears a smile. The Cameron's had a great love for Pastor Gordon and family. Minister Ian preached his first sermon in our house, I was overwhelmed by the truth that came from his Spirit. It was only a few days ago I was unpacking and found his first CD, bless God. I really missed you. I didn't know you were I'll, but whatever I remember you just the loving, well respected man of God.
May our Abba Father continues to watch over your family. Rest In Peace Ian. I Celebrate your Life, it was just wonderful knowing you and growing with you. Enjoy heaven until!

I met Ian at a wealth building conference several years ago. Ian and I became instant friends and stayed in contact through our group of Masterminds. Ian was always striving to do more and help those around him achieve their goals. Ian's faith was an important part of what made him such a great man. I met Ian and Petra several years ago during a visit to Canada with my church. I very clearly remember the warmth and the welcome that the two of them sitting across from me at the restaurant exuded. Ian was a man after God's own heart and I knew that within minutes. Intelligent, articulate and engaging, I could see how much he loved God, his wife and life. Throughout the years since, we kept in touch superficially on Facebook but I have always wanted to visit again. As a stranger in a strange place he was love in action to me, and I bless God for his life and his legacy...I can only send these feeble words, some virtual (((HUGS))), and prayers that Petra and the family will be comforted in the fact that heaven has received and acknowledged this faithful servant with the words Well done! In our circle of friends at Westwood, they including Ian made me feel welcome. Being the new kid isn’t always easy when you’re thrown into a sea of new students. Ian was always smiling and jokes were in abundance.

It is with great sadness that I write these memories down. I’ve known Ian back in Westwood, grade 9-11. I shared many classes with him and admired him for his kindness and devotion to God.
My fondest memory was when we were talking about making money over the Summer. He told me there was some postings in the schools for summer help and I was like, “ yeah man let’s do this”. So the job was to clean up a house for someone. When we got to the house we were disgusted by the mess. Some tenants who lived there prior really did a number on the place. It smelled awful and there was garbage everywhere. Despite how nasty it was, Ian and I would laugh our heads off at how bad the place smelle. As we looking through the garbage Ian had a comment for everything ... lol. Needless to say, we never cleaned anyone’s house again but we ended up doing it. No matter how hard the job , Ian was smiling and laughing his way through it. We never laughed so hard together through something that was so unpleasant lol.
Sorry old friend, despite messaging on Facebook I had wished to have shared a laugh with you in person after all these years. You were indeed a great soul. Pray for us down here, we all need you to smile down upon us and put in a good word for us with the Big Guy....God bless your family through this difficult time . AMEN

It was so nice to see Ian at the reunion for Westwood. He was the same loveable teddy bear. We lived on Sigsbee together and walked home together more times than I could count. He shared his dreams and aspirations on our walks and I admired him greatly as a sound minded young man. When he was single I encouraged him that there was a perfect woman for him. Then he found Petra. It was nice to see pictures of them on Facebook enjoying each other. This news is devastating to me. Ian deserved to live a long, happy, healthy life. Maybe this world has become to cruel for the likes of him.

I am at a loss for words and I still cannot believe that Ian is no longer here with us in body. What I loved about Ian was that he loved life, loved to laugh, encouraged others, was a true believer of Christ and cared so much for others. I have many memories from childhood through to adulthood and those memories are flooding through now more that ever; I will hold them close.
