Good morning, I have never heard of Bishop Shawn Howard. My mother and I were talking and she told me about him and shared the link of his home going service. So I started watching the procession. My God, I was greatly bless to know that even in death. He still touch lives. His service has encouraged me to pray for “ BOLDESS” to win souls for the kingdom… He has given his ALL to God. My condolences to his wife children, parents, siblings, church congregants and friends…

After reading and hearing about the life and ministry of this Godly man, and his beautiful Godly wife & family, it makes me want to be a better Christian - to do more, to reach more, to live for Christ more passionately. This Bishop’s testimony has changed and revived my life. I pray that his children follow the example that their Godly father set for them - a fruitful life and a life lived to the fullest serving his Lord and Saviour - imagine the heavenly rewards waiting for Bishop - well done good and faithful servant. To Pastor Caleen and family, my heartfelt prayers and condolences - Bishop is in the Kingdom watching over you and he loves you so much. This life is short but praise God we have eternity together - live to make your earthly father proud and your Heavenly Father proud.

This is Dave Christie the son of Sister Christie who was a long-standing member of the Evanston Church of God. My mother had Cancer at the time he was there, so they really didn’t get the chance to know her, but he carried out my mother’s funeral as if we were family. I live in Toronto and am from there and he’s from Toronto and became the bishop in Chicago. Meeting him and knowing that made an amazing first conversation and made me realize that it truly is a small world. I didn’t know Bishop Howard very long, but I feel I can still say Bishop Shawn Howard is my brother. Thank you for giving my mother the best sendoff I could imagine, and I know yours will be the same. To the Family (Pastor Caleen and the Children) just know although his time was short, he made an amazing impact. On behalf of the Christie Family Thank you for sharing this amazing man with Evanston/Chicago/Toronto and the rest of the World.

To Pastor Caleen Howard children and family members. Our hearts are broken. Knowing our gentle giant will not be with us anymore.Shawn was a force to be reckoned with. I remember the first time i met him at 29 Halton Street. His presence lit up a room. There are so many characteristics to this young man.
