I light a candle on the behalf of family, friends & others who in some way knew Troopa... maybe as acquaintance, or who personally knew him! There are no words that can lessen the loss, grief & the heartfelt pain of those who knew him. My sincere condolences to those who knew him & cherished him so! I have not seen Troopa since before Covid19, however, I have fond memories of both Jay & Troopa, who deeply cared for each customer who walked through Jy's Bar & Restaurant! Jy's was also known, for their weekly, fun filled karaoke Wednesday evening, hosted by Wayne Ferguson! I attended there personally myself, in which Troopa & Jay, joined in, on the loads of fun & social interaction! Music is food for the soul & so were those half off delicious yummy wings each week! ⁰I know heaven had a place at Jy's, as their love for their fellowman & for each customer who walked through those doors, was greatly sensed by the service they both projected! I remember a birthday celebration for Troopa, before Covid19. Family & friends attended Jy's to celebrate Troopa, lavishing a fun filled evening of songs & great food! A little church revealed it's presence that night! I recall a lady who stood up & requested the customers their undivided attention! She gave thanks for the harvest of plenty that evening! However, she continued with another prayer for God's blessing over the restaurant & to include, Troopa's life! May this candle & each star in heaven, brighten the days ahead! I am sure that Troopa's faith, no matter the size, has laid him down to rest in pastures green & I am sure, admiring those streets of gold! Joanne/soaringfreeeagles@gmail.com

My sincere condolences to the Nelson Family, I know that your heart is hurting right now and you keep asking yourself why did he have to go so early but only God can answer your question! Goaty, you will be miss, you will forever be my brother. I will miss our conversation, your company, your kindness and your loud talking and wonderful smile. You light up any room you walk in, I have over 30+ yrs of friendship and memories of you. I would need a book to write down all my memories R.I.P. Greg Nelson aka Kevin, Goaty, Troopa until we meet again my big brother. Forever in my heart!
