Rene, 1 year has felt like an eternity. There are memories of you almost everywhere I go. I can still hear your laughter, and see your smile. You were always smiling or laughing even when it wasn't funny lol. It feels surreal still. It's like my phone is going to ring, or I'll hear a knock at my door...You walked into our lives Rene , and now you have left your foot prints all over our lives and hearts. The girls and I miss and Love you so much Rene. Your memory will live on until we meet again. Continue to rest.

Rene has been a long time friend that shared our jokes, goofing around, hardships and our all around experiences while growing up in Rexdale! You are gone too soon, my long time friend! Every once in a while, at completely random and out of left field moments, we cross paths with exceptional and really special people. Timing, occupation, residence, and different life journey’s (just to name a few) would naturally almost guarantee Rene and I never to have met at all… that would’ve been a crying shame! Rene and I became instant friends when we first met in 2018. He would later only trust in me to help with his car purchase in 2019, and help to understand his credit and how to rebuild it. I was even able to get him full time work at our shop. If there’s anything that I can do to help Rene’s family this grieving people, please don’t hesitate to ask. My sincerest condolences to your family.

To the Bedward family, sending our deepest condolences from Rose’s family in Africa, with heavy hearts. May you all find comfort in the love of the Lord. We are in shock over this tragedy, as we were all looking forward to meeting him and receiving him over here like a son, just like you embraced our daughter over there in Canada like family. I would have loved to be there in person to bid Rene farewell and support Rose during this very difficult time, but unable to make it due to visa processing constraints. But I am with you in spirit. Take care of each other. Rest in peace Rene, you were loved and appreciated.

First and foremost I would like to give my condolences to Rene’s family. I pray that you will be surrounded with love during this difficult time. It’s been awhile for me since I’ve been home to Canada but I vividly remember when Rene and I were children he use to tease me all the time and he would always appear out of nowhere on his bike. One day I was somewhere I should not have been and my mom came looking for me with a belt and guess who showed up singing REALLY loud. “Aretha’s mom has a belt and she’s gonna get a beatn” yup you guessed it RENE! Man this hurts but friend we will see each other again in that great getn up morning. ❤️❤️❤️
