I was deeply saddened to hear of Lenford's passing. He was such a lovely man who always had a ready smile and wave as I passed his store. Many's a time that I would stop in to chat about gardening, home repairs, music and many other varied topics. He would often talk of his family, in a way which you could tell, he was proud of them all. He had a wonderful laugh and smile that I will always remember and truly miss. My heartfelt condolences to the Pennant family. Laura

I remember when I was small and you were kind and strong, you haven’t changed a bit as life has moved along. You fought a good fight. I admire how thoughtful you were and always helping others that has never changed about you. You’ve always been someone who I can call upon in good times and in bad. We laughed and shared many jokes in happy times. It was always my pleasure being your chauffeur when you visit Jamaica. As you toured various attraction sites you would say “boy Rowayne mi nuh know mi own country” when I heard person who are not Jamaican speaks about places they visit. Oh! And I can’t forget making the good Jamaican “Strang Back” juice for you. You are a special Uncle as special as can be. More than that you’ve been a friend, a cherished friend to me. Lenford was my best friend during our childhood years. We would spend many enjoyable moments playing and makings toys. I and the other kids at school, with delight would look forward to the delicious rose apples that our friend Lenford would bring to share with us. Lenford was an inspiration, and a role model to many. From his youth he exemplified love, respect and uprightness to all. Lenford my cousin, your dedication and commitment to helping others will always be remembered. Indeed you were a light in our lives, and we will always be grateful for the moments we shared. Your legacy will live on in our hearts, and you will be greatly missed. Your soul will rest in peace! Calvin Stanberry
