I am deeply saddened to hear of Lonie's passing. Lonie and I worked at Cornwall Regional hospital for a short time before we migrated to Canada, she was very unique, but briliant and full of life, a very caring nurse. My family and I would like to extend our most sincere condolences to Lonie's family and friends. Rest in peace Lonie.

In 1985, Nurse Haye mentored me as a nurse intern at Cornwall Regional Hospital, Jamaica. We had such a great time working together, along with nurse Jackson. As an intern I hated to cook. As a caring individual, she would sometimes invite me over for dinner. The moments were hilarious. We kept contact over the years after I migrated to the US and she went to Canada. We met again once, years ago when she stopped by on her way to a cruise. We shared fun moments and laughter.
Thanks nurse Haye for the precious moments and I will cherish them as long as I live. I really do miss our conversations. Condolences to the family. Derrick, Brice, Swain and Dionne… you’re in my thoughts and prayers.
RIP my friend!!!

Sending my heartfelt condolences to the family.
Loni was a lovely woman. She was warm, kind, and friendly to me. We really connected when we became Facebook friends. I enjoyed our interactions and conversations. The last day I saw her was New Years day 2023. I was able to give her one last loving hug.

My sincerest condolences to the family. We were next door neighbors in Montego Bay Jamaica. As a child I played daily with her sons Brice and Swain. I can still hear her fussing at Brice. She was a nurse like my mom and they even worked together at Cornwall Regional Hospital. Even though I haven't seen her in over 20 years, I have fond memories of her and the family at Catherine Mount. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Praying for peace and comfort for family and friends

It is with sadness I am sending tribute to my dear friend Lonie, we met at Cummer lodge as young nurses and developed a connection of becoming fast and everlasting friendships. We attended Georgian College in the late nineties to pursue our Registered Nursing Diploma, then unto Ryerson University for our degree. Lonie was very passionate about nursing and she did so with all her heart. She loved her family and friends very much and we knew this. Over the years we always keep in touch whenever she is up North or back here in Ontario. We travelled as a group of nurses on cruises through out the Caribbean, Spain, Italy Hawaii and went as far as North Africa coastline. I spoke to Lonie while she was in Jamaica enjoying the sunshine over this past winter months, and again a week after she retuned from Jamaica the end of this past April. I will always remember the very charismatic and loving person she was and will forever keep our memories close to my heart. I love you my friend and sister, I will miss you but I’ll cherish the memories we shared over the years. RIEP.
