Obituary of Robert Garfield Izzard

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our One in a Million, Robert Izzard affectionately known as “Doodles, Bob, Bobby Love, G-Rob”.  He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario.  Robert was born to the late Freeman Izzard and Irene Cain-Izzard.  He spent the first 11 years of his life living at his great grandparents Roy and Sarah Mantley’s farm in Africville, Nova Scotia.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew and dear friend. He is survived by his devoted wife Karen Miles-Izzard, his children: Camille, Teela (Tyson), Robert-RJ, and Karen’s children: Omar (Makesha), Tashani, Cachet (Tremayne). Also left to mourn are his adored grandchildren Ayanna, Nala, Tayah, Nehemiah, Mya, Ayla, Ariana along with his beloved Sisters: Martina "Marty"-North Preston; Carolyn “Auntie Cyon”-Dartmouth; Mildred “Tinky”-North Preston; Olive-Halifax; Sharon-Newmarket; Celina-Halifax; Sarah-Sydney; Brothers: Louie-Cole Harbour; Tracey-Toronto; his special nephews, nieces & many, many relatives of the extended Cain and Izzard family’s.  

In lieu of flowers, the family is arranging for donations to be made in honour of Robert Izzard (Bobby Love,Doodles) and will share details once finalized.
