Obituary of Janet Alicea Vernon

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing Janet Alicea Vernon, born October 10, 1964, in Catford, England to the best parents ever, Hezekiah and Alicia Vernon. Janet transitioned to her Heavenly Father January 25, 2022.

Janet migrated to Toronto, Canada May 1976 with her parents and 3 siblings, Elaine, Gloria and Lorraine. Several months later she moved to Brampton, Ontario where she resided most her life. 

Janet is survived by her common law partner Paul, son Joshua, her mother, 3 sisters, 2 grandchildren Jenelle and Jayden, 4 nephews, Adrian, Damian, Jalen, Trey and 2 nieces, Lexine and Xaysha. Janet has many cousins, too many to name, but loved by all.

Janet was loved by all those who came in contact with her.  She enjoyed chatting with family, friends, watching movies, and was very passionate about her vegetable garden.

The Vernon family wishes to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time of bereavement.

Her physical presence will be truly missed, but we are rest assured that she has joined her Heavenly Father and her father who passed before her.

Capacity limits have been reduced by 50% for indoor funeral services and visitations at the funeral home.

Restrictions that will remain in place are:

Masks and/or face coverings are required. 

Physical distancing of 2 metres (6 ft.) between people.

COVID signage will be present at the entrance and around the facility so that guests can self-assess.

Contact tracing will continue.

75 ppl maximum in the chapel.

50% capacity in viewing suites.

Important Note:  Cemetery can restrict capacity limits as they deem necessary.  They are permitted to be stricter with numbers and we must comply
