Obituary of Vanessa Foriwaa Manu

Vanessa Foriwaa Manu, a devoted daughter, sister and nursing student died unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 27, 2021 at the age of 18.

Vanessa is survived by her parents; Felicia and Thomas Manu; her sisters; Hillary and Heather Manu and her Grandmother; Afua Sarpong.

Vanessa was born in Etobicoke on March 11^th 2003. She graduated from St. Marguerite D’Youville Secondary School in June 2021 with honours then went on to pursue a nursing degree at Humber Collage.

Apart from school Vanessa had a creative imagination and enjoyed the arts. She was extremely caring, loving, and funny towards everyone she met. She had a positive impact on everybody she crossed paths with.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11AM on Saturday, December 18 at St. Andrews Catholic Church (2547 Kipling Ave, Etobicoke), with interment at Queen of Heavens Catholic Cemetery (7300 ON-27, Woodbridge). Father Alex will officiate.  In memory of Vanessa flowers, donations and condolences will be accepted.

Capacity limits have been removed for indoor and outdoor funeral services, including visitations.

Restrictions that will remain in place are:

Masks and/or face coverings are required. 

Physical distancing of 2 metres (6 ft.) between people.

COVID signage will be present at the entrance and around the facility so that guests can self-assess.

Contact tracing will continue.

Important Note:  Cemetery can restrict capacity limits as they deem necessary.  They are permitted to be stricter with numbers and we must comply.
