Obituary of Pastor Venessa Anderson-McTaggart

And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this down: Blessed are those who die in the Lord from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, they are blessed indeed, for they will rest from their hard work; for their good deeds follow them!” Revelation 14:13

Pastor Venessa Anderson McTaggart

came into this world on August 7, 1956, to Ena Miller & John Anderson in Spanish Town, St. Catherine, Jamaica. On Friday September 10, 2021, she made her triumphant transition to glory with her eyes looking towards Heaven. Assuredly, the angels rejoiced and welcomed her at her arrival. What a blessed assurance to know that after so many years of working in the Kingdom, the good Lord saw it fit to call her home to rest and present her heavenly reward.

Pastor Venessa Anderson migrated to Canada in 1979. It was during that time she answered the call of God and pursued her ministry as an Evangelist. She served diligently in various auxiliaries in her local church. She served in the Kingdom as an Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher.

In 2008 Pastor Venessa Anderson-McTaggart founded Greaterworks Community Church, she diligently worked to establish an effective ministry that changed lives.  Pastor Venessa Anderson- McTaggart was a Woman of Grace appointed by God. She was a powerhouse for God's Kingdom and a threat to the enemy. She didn't just passionately preach the word of God, she led both believers and unbelievers to consciously examine their lives and change for the better. As a worldwide Minister of the Gospel, she touched the lives of so many people from many different walks of life. Whoever you were – whatever demographics you fit in – she cared for your soul and life.

The outpouring of love and support since she made her transition from earth to glory has been touching, beautiful, overwhelming and comforting all at the same time. Witnessing the heartfelt love and hearing the life-changing stories gives great comfort that she'll never be forgotten.

Pastor Venessa Anderson-McTaggart was a remarkable, respectable Woman of God. She lived a life that was well pleasing to the Lord; one who loved unconditionally and consistently demonstrated the love of God to those she came in contact with.

We will never forget the woman she was and the life she lived. Her life was one of the greatest definitions of a true soldier of Christ. Her life represented and demonstrated how believers should live the gospel as a true disciple in this world today. When you remember Pastor Venessa Anderson-McTaggart you remember the scripture that says "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do, because I go unto my Father". John 14:12.

Pastor Venessa will be remembered in so many ways, especially her tenacity for the things of God. She was graceful, elegant and without a doubt in a class all by herself. There is no doubt that her legacy followed her to Heaven. We will always remember her for the rest of our days, and we will continue to celebrate her and carry out her legacy eulogizing her.

She is survived by her husband; Pastor Courtney McTaggart, Sisters: Missionary Cynthia Bell, Evangelist Patsy Hall, Pastor Beverly Taylor, Jacqueline Anderson, Elizabeth Anderson, Deloris Anderson…. Brothers: Keith Taylor, Jerome Anderson, Churchill Anderson, Joe Anderson, Canny Anderson …. Nieces: Althea Samuels, Kimberly Ade, Sherry Ann Campbell, Shennel Edward, Nekeisha Williams….
